Health and safety protocols have been key to ensuring student groups from around the country and around the world are able to enjoy specific destinations and experiences.
In Orlando, Super Holiday Tours has utilized a COVID-19 Testing & Health Services for its various student groups, called Curative. With more than 15,000 testing sites across the country, Curative offers testing services at a variety of mobile sites & kiosks. Because many of these testing centers have on-site laboratory capabilities, results are usually delivered within 1-2 days.
So how does Curative work, and what does it cost the Student Traveler? Here’s what you need to know:
Curative offers a seamless online registration process that allows for individuals to schedule an appointment & time for their COVID testing. Within this process, the individual needing a test will provide personal contact information, and answer a series of questions related to COVID-19.
Of those questions, a few pertain to Health Care Coverage, and if the individual needing testing has health insurance. Per the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES), insurance providers are required to cover the cost of diagnostic items and services without any cost-sharing requirements, prior authorization, or other medical management requirements as February 14, 2022.
If an individual does not carry Health Care Coverage, then the premium is billed by the testing provider to the United State Federal Government for reimbursement.

Once a traveler has completed registration for the test with their assigned date & time, they are emailed a QR Confirmation. This confirmation will be shown at the testing site along with an I.D. so that the results can be tied into your appointment.
After a quick, self-serviced nasal swab (or if you are a minor, a nasal swab done by an adult over the age of 18), the results are dropped at the laboratory kiosk and the testing will begin. Results are then emailed within one to two days.
