Carowinds

Carowinds is a 407-acre amusement park that opened March 31, 1973 right on the North Carolina and South Carolina state line.

The Park features themed areas and attractions—Celebration Plaza, Crossroads, Carolina Boardwalk, Carousel Park, County Fair, Thrill Zone, Blue Ridge Junction and Camp Snoopy. Each area includes rides, attractions and experiences for ages young and old. Carowinds also features a waterpark—Carolina Harbor—that was expanded in 2016 to include new waterslides, a wave pool and new splash areas for children. Not to mention, the park includes The Palladium as well—an outdoor amphitheater first opened in 1975.

Carowinds’ Fury 325 is the fastest, tallest and longest giga coaster in North America. At just over 1.25 miles long, Fury 325 has an average ride time of 3.25 minutes and crosses over the North and South Carolina state line. Imagine riding Fury 325 during Carowinds’ iconic Halloween event—SCarowinds!
