Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort, located in Anaheim California, opened its doors July 17, 1955. At its conception, the property held Disneyland, a 100-acre parking lot, and the Disneyland Hotel. However, after the massive success of the multi-park Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland acquired more property to create more parks as well as hotels and resorts.

Disneyland Park is made up of several different “lands” including Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrowland, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disneyland has the largest cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world.

Disney California Adventure is the second park at Disneyland, having opened February 8, 2001. This Park is themed after the history and culture of California and celebrates the fun and adventure of this west coast state. Disney California Adventure is split into eight areas—Buena Vista Street, Pixar Pier, Paradise Gardens Park, Pacific Wharf, Grizzly Peak, Hollywood Land, Avengers Campus, and Cars Land.
