Universal STARS Performance Program

The music and dance-based educational workshops, performance opportunities and marching experiences offered through the STARS Performance Program help students experience what it’s like to have a career in music, practice teamwork and refine their skills.

STARS Stage Performances – Stage groups can perform to crowds of delighted Universal visitors from the covered Lagoon Stage* in the Universal CityWalk™ entertainment complex. Located between Universal’s Islands of Adventure™ and Universal Studios Florida™, this location provides a picture-perfect backdrop to complement your group’s extraordinary performance and showcase their hard work.

STARS Marching Experiences – Universal Orlando provides the opportunity for your marching band to perform through the streets of Universal Studios Florida in front of an international audience and cheering spectators. For an added element of excitement and flair, groups may be selected to perform before Universal’s Superstar Parade, a unique opportunity to warm up the crowds lining the streets.

STARS Performance Program Workshops – These high-engagement, hands-on workshops align with National Core Arts Standards and features industry insiders who share invaluable wisdom with your students.

• Sound Design: Music and Art of Foley – Designed by Robert W. Smith, students perform original underscores, create Foley effects, and select digital sound effects   to real animated movie scenes.
• Dance is UNIVERSAL! A Workshop with the Professionals
  • AUDITION WORKSHOP – Dancers prepare for their future careers through mock auditions. They’ll learn original choreography used in Universal Orlando shows, then receive feedback and tips.
  • MASTER CLASS – Fully immerse your students in the technique of one selected genre while practicing showmanship and performance quality

Music Festivals – Experience the thrill of the stage with competitive and non-competitive music festivals and award ceremonies. Performing groups will have the chance to refine their showmanship as they participate in nationally recognized festivals produced and hosted by our partners and – all while enjoying our incredible parks.
