The Daytona 500 Mass Band Performance 🏁
Regarded as the most prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar, The Daytona 500 is commonly referred to as “The Great American Race” or “The Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing”. With a capacity of 101,500 spectators, Daytona International Speedway’s asphalt track is 2.5 miles in length, where race cars regularly exceed 200mph.
The Daytona 500 is held as an annual event each February on the Sunday of President’s Day Weekend.
Prior to the start of The Daytona 500, race fans have the opportunity to explore the UNOH Fanzone, which allows access for special driver & VIP appearances, driver introductions, the ability to walk the inclined track, and sign the start/finish line. The UNOH Fanzone also includes a Pre-Race Concert, with past performances by Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson and Mariah Carey.
The Daytona 500 Mass Band Performance considers Marching Bands for participation as part of an organized, mass performance group.
Marching Band Directors will receive production related materials for music weeks prior to the parade. A mandatory rehearsal for the mass performance group will take place in Orlando on the Saturday prior to the race on the following day.
The mass band performance will take place on the infield of Daytona International Speedway, situated between pit row and the finish line on the track. Each participant will receive access to the UNOH Fanzone and Pre-Race Concert, as well as a Daytona 500 Race Ticket.
